Newborn ~ Gwendolyn McDonald

Baby Gwendolyn Elizabeth Kathryn McDonald was born on Thursday, August 21, 2014 to Vanessa and Brian McDonald. Jeremy and I got to photograph her on Sunday for the first time and again the following Thursday. She was so sweet and precious. I snapped a few photos of her with her dad while we were getting ready to go outside. She LOVED being outside. She got so calm and happy. It was her first time really being outside and I think she was instantly in love.

Private Party ~ Rick's 60th Birthday Surprise Party

We had the pleasure of photographing a surprise party last weekend. The father of one of our clients was turning 60 and his daughter, Lisa, asked us to capture the day. They told him they were going to take him fishing, bought the license to do so and made him bring all of his fishing gear. Then they shocked him by gathering his closest 50 or so friends and family to surprise him. Here are some of our favorites (particularly the confused look on Rick's face in the first few photos upon being yelled "Surprise!" at).

Children and Family ~ Teegan Schulze & Family

This was a belated shoot for Teegan's 1 year Birthday. She is an incredibly photographic little girl and put up with a lot from us that day (costume changes, props etc). It's the first shoot we have ever done centered around 1 toddler. It seemed like a handful at the time, but we ended up getting some gorgeous shots out of it. While Liz took on the roll of being main shooter, Jeremy seemed to have the harder job: entertaining her and making her smile...or not cry in general. I hope someone passing by snapped a shot of me lying on the ground and 3 grown adults standing over me doing everything in their power to make this kid happy. THAT would have been an amazing shot. The threat of rain also ended up in our favor as the sky looks so amazing and dramatic. Then there was cake. Cake seems to fix everything, as you can see by the photos.
